The Andes (mtns) (candy)

Monday, September 16, 2013

Hi everyone.  So here we are, another Monday and these two smiling faces:

are more like sad sleepy faces at this point...  Nick and I just got back from an awesome wedding weekend in PA and had the best time celebrating with everyone.  It was the first time we attended a legitimate function as husband and wife and enjoyed being on the sidelines as bystanders/participants rather than the main attraction :)

We kicked off the weekend at the bride and groom's home on Friday - laughs were shared, pumpkin beers were drank, and the wedding ceremony was rehearsed.  The groom (middle below) was cool as a cucumber; and his bride?  Stunning & relaxed all weekend.  The rehearsal dinner was delicious (you can never go wrong with steak - Nick - and crab cakes - me - am I right?) and we had such a good time just being with one another.  I'll say it once and I'll say it again, these guys share the most amazing friendship.  There are some members of the group not pictured, but honestly; it's priceless how deep it is.

Saturday Nick left with the groomsmen to perform his groomsmen duty of helping Zack prepare for his day.  A few hours later, we all caravanned over to the church and awaited the bride's big arrival.  Of course, the instant Cait and her father began walking down the aisle, there were tears streaming down my face.  I'm a huge lover of love, and the love that she and Zack so obviously have is beautiful!  They are such a stunning couple.

The party kicked off shortly after, at which no detail was left undone.  They had gorgeous fall colors; oranges, greens, yellows, and purples, had flip flops for us to wear as we danced the night away, and the food/drinks were amazing.  Even their place cards were perfect; little bottles of wine with a personalized label commemorating their wedding date.  Not to mention, they had a great DJ and a pretty good looking crew to dance the night away with...

I even snagged myself a handsome guy to dance with a time or two.

And the best part?  I got to take home with me.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Andes!  Our best wishes to you always and forever!!  Thanks for hosting such an amazing wedding weekend and thanks for joining the old married couples crew; enjoy your honeymoon!  And special thanks to on of our friends, Jolene, for taking all the pictures for us this past weekend.  Without you, we'd never remember what happened, especially when our friend Matt addressed their wedding card like this:

Wow I absolutely love the dress you wore at the wedding. It sounds like an absolute blast. And you are right, you can never go wrong with steak... and pumpkin beer for that matter!
