Yet again, I have deserted this blog for bigger & better things...
Family
Football
Furbabies
and
Food
So to begin, a little Thanksgiving joke for you:
Q - why was the Thanksgiving stew so expensive?
A - it had 14 carrots ;)
So even if that's not funny, here's what was:
eating 2 Thanksgiving dinners.
In their entirety.
Within 4 hours of one another.
Had me feeling a little like this:
Gentlemen, she's single.
And even though I might have gone up a pants size after one day alone, it was well worth it.
Wedding soup - to die for.
Pumpkin cheese cake - OH my gosh good.
Homemade bbq ribs - mmm mmm mmm.
Is there any question how/why this happened?
Now for one of my other most favoritest parts of this week/end:
FURBABIES.
I cannot wait to have my own dogs and don't even care how ridiculous I sound referring to them as furbabies (it started with an f so I had to give it a whirl)... Mia bug + Mag pie are my two little angels that are just in the care of my parents and my grandma... truly they should live with us ;) Aren't they adorable?! I don't know what's better than a golden retriever.
Oh wait, a golden retriever playing in freshly lain snow, that's right!!
There's also the cutest little furbaby cow baby there ever was:
and two of the most precious sisters there ever was to accompany her.
I die.
I've never wanted a baby more than now and even though I'm in NO rush, I know it will be the best time of our lives :)
Speaking of the best time of our lives, I give to you our save-the-dates:
I might be biased, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they turned out great! And they are now gracing refrigerators left and right thanks to speedy postal service :) One more thing to check off the old countdown to-do list (we even have our rings!! got them on a phenomenal black Friday special! brilliant.)
And more black Friday Saturday shopping fun:
I did feel a little guilty since it was small business Saturday and all, but we didn't do any in-store shopping Friday and had to get out and about after sleeping off our gluttony on Friday. My keys to successful shopping: comfy clothes (go-to: Target); sock buns; sisterly shopping buddies...
...and easy pay | easy access soda machines
What will they think of next?
So all and all it was a great break.
And with a 7:00am - 9:00pm work day tomorrow, I'm already longing for the next vacation...
but am grateful for:
6 hour car rides that turned into 9+ hour family bonding moments
a brother who loves his future brother-in-law
a family that loves, hates, fights, shares, cares, rebuilds, and grows daily
delicious food
a fiance who lets just about anything roll off his shoulders without fault
Christmas decorations
freshly washed laundry (that has to be folded)
and anything and everything in between.
I hope your Thanksgiving was just as special.
More to come on the Christmas front shortly, but have a great evening/morning :)
