PB Ritz Cookies | Random Wednesday

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

errrrrrrrrrm.... it's December 12th, y'all.  not that you needed a reminder or anything, but that means only 13 days until Christmas and less than 20 until 2.0.1.3.!  shut the front door, right!?  Not to mention,

where
did
2012
go?!

in addition to the fact that today is the coolest date in the history of 2012...

I hope it's 12:00pm when you're reading this, making it that much cooler.

I have no major 121212 plans (other than to maybe listen to the concert being put on for Sandy relief) and will rather be working, tutoring, and tending to a sicker-than-thou fiance.

103* fevers ain't pretty.
neither is the word ain't.

bleck I can't even believe I wrote it twice.

as you ponder this, here's a faux "recipe" for the easiest poor man 'tagalongs' you'll ever make that I whipped up last week:

ingredients -
1 bot ritz crackers [I recommend 'hint of salt']
1 jar creamy peanut butter
1 bag dark, milk, or semi-sweet nestle chocolate
crisco

directions-
apply peanut butter to ritz crackers & form "sandwiches" with the crackers.  after, melt chocolate in microwave safe bowl.  add 1-2 tbsp crisco to melt chocolate as needed [may use double boiler for melting as well].  dip cookies in melted chocolate, place on wax paper and refrigerate.  may freeze if needed sooner!  [modifications - add sprinkles, crushed candy canes and/or drizzle white chocolate on top for added flavor/look]

Nick tested, Nick approved.

enjoy :)

no but really really, enjoy - they will be gone at your next holiday party before you know it.
we've tested this now twice and are two-for-two.

121212, fevers, and chocolatey peanut butter goodness?

if that doesn't count as random, I don't know what does.

maybe if I throw in that I'm watching Beauty & the Beast as I write this.

yes, that does it ;)

Those look delicious. All night I've been looking for an easy, but yummy, treat to make for my office Christmas party on Friday. This might be the one!
