Spontaneity | Sort of

I like plans & sticking to them.  Variety may be the spice of life, but predictability keeps me sane.  It may be my anxious tendencies, or it may be my prudent nature, but regardless, I like knowing my next move so I can anticipate/prepare for what's to come next.
With that said, going to Baltimore on a whim was not what I had thought we would be doing this past Sunday.  An impromptu trip to the grocery store rocks my world, so you can only imagine what venturing up north was like for me.  But I loved every. last. stinkin. minute.
We got to meet up with one of our good friends (#groomsmanstatus) and his new lady, Kristyn.  This guy is one of our closest friends and is practically a brother to me (we even share the same birthday), so to see him happy made my heart so full.  Not to mention, this girl was awesome.  We all hit it off instantly and enjoyed exploring the Inner Harbor.

Sidenote: after we sat in traffic for 3 hours (on a trip that should have taken 1-and-a-half) I was more than ready to get the heck out of the car & enjoy the perfect weather we had in store for us.  As a result, this picture was posted to my Instagram account.  

 

We enjoyed a lot of walking, a couple "tourist" stops for pictures, and some sun, drinks, and a dinner stop at Bubba Gump Shrimp.  Y'all I kid you not, Nick does the best Forest Gump impression.  Yet another reason why I'm marrying that hunk of a guy ;)  Naturally we had to indulge a little & got a couple little souvenirs to take home with us.  It was a perfect way to end the day.  

Kevy & Kristyn if you're reading this: we had the best time & cannot wait to see you again so soon!  More laughter to come :)  As long as you'll have us, that is!!
