Donut Hole.

Sunday, January 19, 2014

I need a donut something fierce.  Like really, really fierce.  And I'm not referring to the type of donut that is of the Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' variety (although a Boston creme would actually be delicious right about now); but rather, a big, squishy, yellow, you-may-or-may-not-have-broken-your-coccyx-bone donut.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Here I was minding my own business, cleaning our home, and waltzing down the carpeted stairs to throw away some garbage.  In my slippers.  Emphasis on the slip part.  Anyway, as I'm waltzing, I went all Scarlet-takes-a-tumble on those stairs and fell smack dab on my arse. Little did I know, three days later I'd still feel like this.

Oh the looks I must have gotten in church today as I'm slowly standing up, uncomfortably taking my seat, and kneeling longer than necessary...  You just know it's bad when you kneel longer than you have to in the pews.  And being that my in-laws were also in town (i.e. why the cleaning was occurring in the first place), it made it that much more embarrassing.

So today and tomorrow as you (hopefully) enjoy your extra day off while lounging away on your couch, squish around on that cushy butt of yours a little extra.  Because at the moment, even with all the cushion I have back there, there's just about nothing I'd rather do less.

Hahaha.  Oye!  Happy MLK weekend, friends!  Some Valentine's decor & some home updates from the weekend will be coming up later in the week :)
