I cannot believe one year ago Nick & I were sitting on the white sandy beaches of Cancun, Mexico enjoying bottomless beverages and delicious cuisine on our honeymoon!  Although I'm having major vacation withdraws, I am so so grateful to be celebrating our first anniversary together!!  There were so many special events this past year (see: we bought our first home, cruisin, & we got a puppy) and I couldn't be happier to share them with Nick.

To celebrate our one year, we kept the weekend pretty low key.  We started teaching summer school this week, so we didn't want to do anything too overwhelming before the week began.  Besides, we're not millionaires and miss Penny has been ringing up quite the vet bill with all of her infections.  We decided instead to do a mini wine tour of 4 vineyards in the area.  The three of us packed up the car and ventured out to do some tastings.  Penny loved meeting all her new friends, and I was overcome with happiness spending time with my little family.

The weather both of the days was perfect.  Around this time of year, it's unheard of to have a day without humidity that doesn't break 80!  It was phenomenal.  

The overcast skies helped us to stay cool while we sat outdoors.  

Penny made fast friends with some billy goats that were on one of the properties.  She was in puppy heaven for sure.  

The views were gorgeous and left us longing for more.  We'll certainly be going back at the next possible opportunity.  

I couldn't help but snap a million pictures of this sweet face, ahh!  

We also enjoyed a bite (literally a bite) of our wedding cake, dinner at one of our favorite spots, homemade ice cream at our favorite downtown ice cream parlor, and had lights out by 10.  I was one happy happy girl!  Here's to the next million years to come alongside my partner in crime.  Love you, Nick!!
