First off, 3 of Saturday's snapshots

1.  View from the bathtub; a beautiful sunny day (mid-60's) & a favorite print: You're my favorite part of every day.  This was right before turing my whole home upside down and cleaning, sweeping, and scrubbing away grit and grime.

2.  My first bath since I was probably 10 years old.  Baths freak/gross me out...  so judge away, but I wore my bathing suit!  It kinda skeeves me to think of all the germs on the bottom of the tub and weirds me out when people post bathtub pictures implying they are taking pictures while naked.  Fortunately, a bathing suit solves both of these problems :)

Yummy homemade sushi for lunch; I most certainly did not make this.  It was a sweet offering to me from the mother of one of the students I tutor.  She is Korean and has shared a few wonderful Korean dishes with me.  I'm always happy to be her guinea pig and test anything she offers.

And next off, other miscellaneous add-ons

We got our taxes done!!  It's the first time we did the whole married-just-bought-a-house-file-jointly thing and took nothing short of a miracle that it went off without a hitch.  Thank goodness for our organization over the past year & for retaining every receipt/bill in alpha order for easy access!  $1 accordion folders for the win!

I got bored one night and took a sharpie to a walmart candle to make it a little more "personal."  All the doodles are cheesy lovey dovey doodles, and I'm not ashamed :)  It's fun looking back on some special events in our lives over the past few years.

And lastly, a ring shot.  I find that the more I play with my DSLR, the more I "learn," but I have a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays to go (add on about 2342341 more a's to that!)  I take a lot of ring shots for some reason (especially since we've been cooped up and haven't been able to get out), and just love looking at how beautiful they are.  The one on the left is my great grandmother's engagement ring (read more on the significance/tradition behind it here) & the middle/right is my beautiful set Nick picked out for me.

With springtime on the horizon, I'm sure I'll be more inspired and be full of gardening projects, paint projects, etc.  Stay tuned!

i have probably taken three baths since I was little. I want to enjoy them but can't handle staying there for more than five minutes! and that is really funny about you wearing your swim suit. i don't get how people take pictures - aren't their phones soaking wet. and yes. weird that they are naked. :)
